Process
The appraisal process is an orderly program by which the problem is defined, the way necessary to solve the problem is planned, and the data involved is acquired, analyzed, and translated into an estimate of value. I divide the above process into three steps:
STEP 1
Inventory of the items to be appraised. This step includes gathering all the facts about the items and taking photographs of each item.
STEP 2
Research each item to arrive at an estimate of value.
*At this stage I will send you a fee estimate that will give you an expectation of the range into which the fee will fall, with a guarantee that I will not go above the estimates high unless some unforeseen circumstances arise, in which case I will consult with you to see whether you want to continue. If the estimate is agreeable to you, you then sign the Appraisal Contract. If you need to arrive at a lower fee range, we can discuss which items you may wish to exclude from the appraisal.
STEP 3
The final reports are prepared. You will receive two hand-signed reports, each complete with photographs of the items appraised.
